Thomaston 12, Terryville 7 >> Thomaston starter Justin Taylor (7 strikeouts) pitched five innings, then came back to close out the win at Terryville in the sixth and seventh inning.
The Golden Bears led 12-2 before Terryville posted five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Jake Torrence (3-for-3, 2 doubles, 4 RBI) and Jake George (2 RBI) led the Bears’ offense.
Ariel Batista was 3-for-4 with 2 RBI and a run scored for the Kangaroos.
Wolcott Tech 20, Waterbury Career Academy 6 >> The Wildcats (4-4) extended a three-game winning streak behind Levi Marsh (4 hits, triple, 2 doubles, 5 RBI) and Riley Shredders (3 hits, double).
Mike Matta (triple) and Adrian Velez (2 doubles) were the big hitters for Waterbury.

Thomaston 19, Terryville 0 (5) >> The Golden Bears blasted Terryville at Thomaston High School with Gabrielle Hurlbert (3-for-3, home run, double, 3 RBI), Alexa Milius (3-for-4, home run, 5 RBI), Danielle Genest (2-for-3, 3 RBI), Morgan Sanson (3-for-4, double, RBI) and Julia Romaniello (2-for-3, RBI).
Katie Everett (7 strikeouts) and Nicole Schaefer held the Kangaroos to one hit.
Wamogo 10, Gilbert 2 >> Cyrena Zemaitis struck out 15 batters in a three-hitter at Wamogo. Caitlyn Malisweski was 4-for-5 with a home run and double; Zemaitis was 3-for-3, home run, 2 RBI; Laura Brady was 4-for-4, 2 doubles, 3 RBI.

Northwestern 183, Gilbert 225 >> Northwestern’s Connor Campbell shot a 37 at Greenwoods Country Club to run away with medalist honors. Highlanders Andrew Kane (44) and Tucker Kreh (47) backed him up for the win.
Conor Bailey shot 40 for the Yellowjackets.
Boys Volleyball
Lewis Mills 3, Wolcott Tech 0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-12) >> The Spartans won the battle of Northwest Corner volleyball teams behind Ben Lewis (11 kills, 13 digs); Kevin Kryzwick (9 kills, 9 digs); Anthony Licata (5 kills); and Trent Millum (5 kills) in a combination of consistent offense and solid defense.
Austin Gilbert had 12 digs; Lorenz Gunzl had 30 assists.
The Spartans are 5-1; Tech is 2-3.

Torrington 8, Sacred Heart 1 >> Scott Dixon, Alain Malcolm, Billy Weber, Kevin Dixon, Ryan Nader and Naseem Thompson won singles matches in Waterbury.

Individual winners for Mills were Lindsey Riordan (100 hurdles); Celina Daigle (300 hurdles); Eli D’Oca (800 meters); Kaitlin Sulek (3,200 meters); Morgan Sederquist (long jump, triple jump) and Sydney Mello (shot put).
Grace Valikis won the 200 and 400 meters for Gilbert.
