Monday’s NH County Softball Roundup: No. 9 North Branford edges No. 2 East Haven

Sabrina LeMere hit a game-tying solo homer in the bottom of the 6th, and then No. 9 North Branford won it in the eighth in a 5-4 non-conference victory over No. 2 East Haven.

Both teams entered unbeaten.

Olivia Hemstock went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Danielle Ramada went 2-for-3 with a run for the host Thunderbirds (7-0).

Laura Anderson and Allie Luzzi both doubled and Anderson also  drove in a run for the Easties (6-1). Jessica Stettinger hit a two-run homerun for East Haven.
