FAIRFIELD — MacQuarrie Stone-Folmar had two hits, including her 19th home run and a sacrifice fly as Notre Dame-Fairfield defeated Berlin 5-2 in the Class M quarterfinals Sunday.
It was coach Jeff Bevino’s 200th-career softball coaching victory. Notre Dame advances to Tuesday’s semifinals vs. No. 5-seeded Seymour at West Haven, 7 p.m.

Justina Holland had a two-run single in a three-run fourth that put Notre Dame up 4-1.
Freshman Tiffany Suporn added a home run in the sixth inning. Breana Brown earned the win in the circle. Berlin’s season ended at 17-8. Notre Dame improved to 22-4.
