Masuk’s win streak is now at 32 games with a 3-0 week and syphoned off a pair of first-place votes in the process to strengthen their grip on the top spot in the GameTimeCT Top 10 softball poll for April 14.
The Panthers’ next-door FCIAC neighbors remained within striking distance. Trumbull (5-0) stayed at No. 2 with a pair of first-place votes and St. Joseph (5-0) stayed at No. 3.
Softball Notebook: West Haven off to a scorching start
Everyone else moved up as Southington dropped three spots following its rain-shortened loss to Bristol Eastern. West Haven’s 3-0 victory over Amity parked the Westies into the final spot of the Top 10.
