The GameTimeCT / Register Top 10 Softball Poll: Cheshire still No. 1, Southington jumps to No. 2

It took a while for Southington to get its season going, but the Blue Knights have been on a roll of late and jumped from a No. 4 ranking to No. 2 in the latest Top 10 softball poll, thanks to a 2-1 victory over No. 3 NFA last week.

Seymour lost its first NVL game in over two years when it lost to Oxford, 9-4, and fell from No. 2 to No. 4. Holy Cross was another mover. The 10-1 Crusaders pulled up a spot behind Seymour thanks to its 6-0 victory over Oxford.

Unbeaten Notre Dame-Fairfield also made a leap from No. 9 to No. 6 while SWC rival Masuk fell from No. 5 into a tie for 10th with Middletown after a loss to Pomperaug.

Cheshire cemented its hold on No. 1 with victories over No. 8 Amity and Foran.
