Boys Golf

Xavier 151, Fairfield Prep 153 >> At Portland Golf Club, medalist Chris Fosdick fired a 35 and Kevin Lynch shot a 37 to lift the host Falcons to a key SCC Division I win on Tuesday.

Joe Ensign shot a 39, while Connor Forbes shot 40 for Xavier (8-1-1, 5-0-1).

Matt Cesare fired a 36 to lead the Jesuits (11-1, 5-1).

Vinal Tech 212, Goodwin Tech 235 >> At Indian Springs CC, the Hawks improved to 7-5 with a CSC win.

James Kalisz shot a 48 to earn medalist honors for the Gladiators (4-5).

Portland 162, Old Lyme 165 >> At the Black Hall Club, medalist Nick Piersall fired a 35 to lead the Highlanders to a key Shoreline Conference win on Tuesday.

Also scoring for Portland (12-1) were Jon Twichell (40), Jimmy Kelley (43), and Drew Tammaro (44).

Graham Aird and Mason Swaney each shot 40s for the host Wildcats (8-1-1).

Haddam-Killingworth 185, Coginchaug 186 >> At Lyman Orchards GC, medalist Alex Segaline fired a 41 and Tom Fulner shot a 45 to lift the Cougars (6-6).

Jack French shot a 44 for the Blue Devils (6-4).

Cromwell 183, Hale-Ray (no score) >> At Fox Hopyard GC, medalist Nick Lattanzio fired a 34 to lead the Panthers (8-6).

Brian Rasimus shot a 44 for the Noises (1-7).

Softball

Coginchaug 13, Valley Regional 1 >> At Deep River, Natalie Labasi went 3-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs to power the Blue Devils in a Shoreline win on Tuesday.

Destiny Helmedach and Taylor Marino had two hits apiece for Coginchaug (10-2).

Kaleigh Caulfield had an RBI and Annie Cooper hit a double for the host Warriors (2-8).

Boys lacrosse

Morgan 9, Haddam-Killingworth 7 >> At Clinton, senior Anthony Choronzy scored a game-high four goals to lift the Huskies (7-5) on Tuesday.

Sam Purdy and Cody Ellex had two goals apiece, while Drew Burley stopped 12 shots for the Cougars (5-7).

Boys tennis

Old Saybrook 4, Haddam-Killingworth 3 >> At Higganum, Colton Soneson captured first singles for his first win of the season, while Ben McLaughlin and Ben Blair also posted straight set singles wins for the host Cougars (1-12).

Berlin 6, Middletown 1 >> At Wesleyan, Jon Trevethan and Jordan Chyra captured the 1-2 singles for the Redcoats (5-6).

Zach Fitzner earned a three-set win at No. 3 singles for the host Blue Dragons (1-7).
